"Hold on to memories, they will hold on to you." These lines from Taylor Swift's New Year's Eve brings so much truth. Memories are priceless and precious, like this trip my family had last July in Oahu, Hawai'i.
We booked thru Costco Travel, the package included hotel accommodations, air travel and land transfer. We were able to save significant amount of money by doing so and we will most likely book our next adventure the same way.
And when in Hawai'i, drink and eat pineapple!!!
We stayed in Hilton Hawaiian Village at Waikiki Beach Resort. It was literally a village and we had no clue that there are about six towers/hotels in the vicinity. A free standing Louis Vuitton shop, ABC grocery stores, food joints, numerous swimming pools are all in one place. We picked the place among the choices because of its beachfront property.
I have a very high standard when it comes to beaches as my comparison will be Boracay. Its sand and sea has an indelible mark of 10/10 to me. Waikiki did not disappoint, it is clean with clear water and though it sand is not as powdery as Boracay, it is more than good. And yayyyy!!! The water temperature was friendly to me. In California, even during the summer peak, the beaches are super freakingly cold for me.
WE miss our Riverside family so much on this trip. Prayerfully next time, they will be able to join us.

We waited 45 minutes to have a taste of this udon that is a talk of the town. It was good, I guess I wasn't able to fully appreciate it as I was too way sleepy and tired by the time we were eating. Lesson learned, sleep on the night before departure!:(

On our Friday stay, we were able to see the fireworks at the Village. Pretty much everyone was at the beach side to catch it. It was less than five minutes but very spectacular and awesome especially the last seconds of the show. We were all in Wowwww!!!
