40 Birthday Blessings as I Turn 40 #9 MY US DIZON FAMILY

They quietly witnessed my sobs and screams in my first few months in America as trial after another passed by along my life's pavement. They prayed for me and with me, welcomed me in their homes and hearts as  member of their small, tight-knit family not only because I am the sister of Koyang Miller, their in-law but because generosity and openhandedness run in their blood.

The kids treat me like their own Tita. There is always food on the table waiting for me when I come home from work. Now that I am slowly making a mark in my career and pathway, they celebrate with me with fondness.

Daddy Amor, Mommy Pely, Ate Liza, Kong Jo and Therese, Ate Nonet, Kong Raymund, Lexi and Pia and last but not the least, Ate Reggie belong in my solid, steady support here in America. I believe that they are God's best choice to serve as my family here to protect me, care for me and make me feel I am not totally alone (as I still sometimes feel).

I am grateful. I am blessed.
