Waterfront Brekky at Santa Barbara

On our last morning at Santa Barbara, after an unexpected 30- minute cardio exercise at the beachfront, we trooped across and had brekky at Chad's, it captured my attention with its yellow outdoor umbrellas and locals sipping their freshly brewed coffee.

The three of us shared the Santa Barbara omelette and buttered pancakes with sunny side-ups. Luck was not on our side for Paula's Pancakes at Solvang so we had to make a closure and ordered it instead at SB. We are particular with closures. Lol!!

To die for muffins.  We asked for a second basket and they warmly indulged us.:)

The atmosphere is quintessentially Santa Barbara. Plenty of outdoor dining under colorful umbrellas, you get a throwback feel with the booths arranged for parties small and large, and of course, the old school lunch counter. Chad's at the Beach is a reminder of the days in California when every highway in the state had a diner for the weary traveler. ( From Pocket Concierge Santa Barbara Summer & Fall 2021)
