Missing My Old Me
Taken around 2013-14 at UA Nursing Arts Laboratory. Me happy inside out, calm and youthful-looking. Mamang was still around, I worked at my playground whilst doing my passion-teaching.I come home with hot cooked meals prepared by Mayet and pestering Kakay after to relieve my stress.
It was never dull and empty, I looked forward to each morning and night that will see Mamang breathing and flashing her charmed smile. I continue to miss my previous life. I damn know that I cannot move backward and stagnate. I allow myself anyhow now and then to visit the past so I can live the present with strength.
Thank you Jesus for all those years that my heart was sincerely smiling.
Memories that are for keeps.

Letters To Mamang
Dearest Ma,
Look at Tita Beth and Tita Pines. This was Christmas 2018, they were wearing your dresses. How thoughtful and lovely.
You have always been known for your fine taste in fashion, up to your aging years, you did not lose your love for it. Obviously, I got it from you.
I miss you and so the others who love you.
I love you and I miss you every day.
Mamang. Fashion. Lovely.
Prayer for My Philippines
In the last year or so, for some personal reasons, I became detached with my land of birth, my country Philippines. Deep in my pulsating blood, I know my love and loyalty to it remains strong as ever, it's simply just "nagtatampo."
I am a Filipino and forever will be. When the sad news of the Taal Volcano eruption surfaced on social media and CNN, I pray and continue to do so.
Filipinos are known for bayanihan centuries and decades ago, I am proud to see that in occasions like this, it is still very much visible and present.
Dear God, please take care of my country. I offer this prayer.
Thank You Jesus.
God bless Pilipinas.
