As what I have mentioned for Mamang's eulogy, there were TWO great irrevocable, most steady lessons Mamang shared to us. Love of family, and Love of God. We were raised in a Catholic religious manner, true Mamang was strict and firm with it, we were required to attend church activities namely Sunday celebrations, fiestas, Simbang Gabi, Sta.Ana novenas, and many others. She was such a great influencer that gradually, we were all looking forward to any event in our parish.
Holy Week has always been big to us. From Palm Sunday to Easter morning of Salubong, me and my brothers have perfect attendance. That applied to everyone in the neighborhood. The norm on Holy Thursday is to attend the Mass of the Last Supper, afterwards we visit seven churches for the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, it is more widely known as Visita Iglesia.
It's been two years that I am not in Philippines for the Holy Week since Mamang passed away. Hopefully and prayerfully, next year I will be there. This 2019, I wanted to do what I could to at least "feel" the Holy Week so I had Holy Thursday and Good Friday off from work.
Yayyyyy!! My Dizon US family accompanied me for Visita Iglesia. I pray this will not be the last.

I am a proud Catholic girl. I know that the core of true deep faith of Christianity is to believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to redeem mankind.
I believe in God. I believe He listens to me. I believe He loves me.
Faith. Pray. Catholic.
